BRITISH OAK
Strong. Characterful. Unmistakable.

One of Britain's great native hardwoods. Oak is strong, durable and incredibly versatile, with distinctive grain and enormous variation from tree to tree.

British Oak can range from relatively clean, straight-grained boards to heavily figured slabs full of knots, burr, spalting and natural edge.
It's hard, strong and durable, but still a pleasure to work with - one of the reasons it has been used by British furniture makers and joiners for centuries.
At Britannia Timber, we're particularly interested in pieces with character: unusual grain, substantial dimensions and features that make the finished piece unmistakably individual.
